Hello, I'm Sally.
I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2018 in Aberdeen before relocating to London in early 2019. My whole career has been spent in Audit, working with a wide range of businesses from owner-managed companies to UK subsidiaries of international groups in a variety of industries. Over the years I have developed particular expertise in leading complex audit engagements, supporting growing businesses, and helping management teams navigate financial reporting and regulatory requirements in the UK. I became a Responsible Individual in 2023 and am now a Partner at Ecovis, where I continue to lead audit engagements and support the development of our team.
What I enjoy most about working at Ecovis is the variety. Every client is different, with their own challenges, ambitions and stories, which means no two days are the same. I particularly enjoy building long-term relationships with clients and becoming a trusted adviser who can provide practical, commercially focused advice. Ecovis has a collaborative culture and an entrepreneurial mindset, which allows us to deliver a personal service while drawing on the resources and expertise of an international network.
My role is about much more than delivering an audit. I help clients understand their financial reporting obligations, identify opportunities for improvement, and manage risks as their businesses grow. I aim to provide clear, pragmatic advice and ensure that complex accounting and regulatory issues are explained in a way that is easy to understand. By getting to know my clients’ businesses, I can offer insights that help support better decision-making and give stakeholders confidence in the information being reported.
I have a particular interest in working with international groups that have UK operations, where there are often interesting challenges around cross-border reporting, governance and compliance. I also enjoy helping growing businesses navigate periods of change. More broadly, I am interested in audit quality and how the profession can continue to deliver valuable insights beyond traditional compliance requirements.
