The directors of Mdina Trust Services Limited (part of the ECOVIS Malta Group) are pleased to announce that the Malta Financial Services Authority has granted an extension to its authorization to enable the company to act as administrator of private foundations, in addition to the longstanding authorization to act as trustees.

Mdina Trust Services, is in an enhanced position to offer comprehensive solutions, whether through a trust, foundation or corporate structure for various client needs.   The company particularly caters to clients requiring cross-border structures, asset-protection and generational planning.

Mdina Trust Services has been providing fiduciary services since 1997, and as the various Laws of Malta were updated along with the development of Malta as a financial center, the company has developed and evolved its range of its services.

Malta is making use of the Minimum Tax Directive exemption and postponing the application of the income inclusion rule (IIR) and the undertaxed profits rule (UTPR) beyond 2024. Additionally, the Maltese government will not introduce a qualified domestic top-up tax (QDTT) in 2024.
